Is there no freedom of speech here? Are you saying that all your Bishan club EXCO members will present the same view when speaking to anyone, including in any online forums or in any casual meetings? If so, does that mean that we can take any Bishan EXCO member's words as the intention of the entire club? Don't reply with a confident 'YES' yet as you'll never know what your EXCO members might say outside, perhaps just a casual remark in a party/pub?

Do not be too harsh on others as you never know when you'll make the same mistake yourself! Please make peace and allow all chess lovers to ENJOY this site! Thanks in advance! :)

I just wish to give an example only.

Even in Bishan EXCO, for some matters, if majority agreed but I have my own views, I still have to carry out if it is good for the club. This should be the usual approach, what I really want to bring up is try to have different views discussed in the EXCO meetings instead of outside.

as Acting Chairman of the 4th EXCO, I also hope that they can bring those views back into the EXCO meetings for discussion and try to have common stands, this should be the way for all organisations and nothing to do with politics.

but did you really mean what you say? If you cannot stop putting up MORE POSTS after you say you will stop, then don't promise that you WILL STOP! How do you gain respect from others when you do not mean what you say.

I realised that you get very offensive when others do not agree with you. But note that the world does not revolve around you. Do be more considerate when posting your comments here and do not flood this forum with items to vent your anger (which others may not be interested in). Basically, you always continue arguing about various matters until others are too tired to argue with you. But is the person who always ends last the winner? I believe that everyone here are objective enough to distinguish between right and wrong (especially when we are all chess players with good analytical skills).

A good author can just write few books to gain respect and recognition. A lousy author will not gain recognition regardless of how many books he wrote. If you are right, you just need to write ONE post and others will follow and support you. Else, nobody will bother regardless of how many posts you wrote. Reflect on this and I will not continue to post further posts on this matter EVEN if you refute what I say here.

有些棋友最近不知道从哪里得来的信息，以为象总会长曾经向所有有关的棋会包括他曾经领导过的棋会下达禁令，不准他们出席参与这项赛事。因此，迟迟不敢报名参赛。其实，这个信息完全是捏造的。
今晚他向我澄清，完全没有这回事。象总目前首先所要处理的有以下几项：（一）10月份的亚洲杯象棋赛；（二）象总新理事的就职典礼 ；（三）明年的75周年纪念。象总没有理由也没有时间去干涉棋队之间的赛事。
因此，为了消除棋友们的顾忌，我率先报名充当后补，希望棋友们不要有顾忌，踊跃参与这项赛事。
至于碧山东分区与碧山象棋会彼此之间的恩怨，就有待PA来解决吧!!!

我赞同棋一生大哥所说，无论说的多么富丽堂皇，象棋是一项脑力，智利的竞技。事实胜于雄辩，技不如人，那也只好俯首称臣。象棋对大多数的棋友是兴趣，喜好。为了喜好很多的爱好者都投生狮城象棋的发展。不该时不时把象棋与象棋政治挂钩。这么做侮辱了象棋，也向广大棋友显示了无知。

虽然下棋者无须顶尖，但身为一名对象棋事业认真的棋界领袖，总得能以身做责，方能以德服人。有意见，提出来积思广义是好事。但毕竟论坛不是棋会，把看法留给自身的理事会吧。棋友看论坛是想看棋局探讨，讯息，而不是争论。

望能大家以和为贵，别再让外国网友看到狮城棋坛的丑态。

站在推动棋运的立场，我们希望看到更多的棋赛举行及更多人参与比赛。因此，没有理由身为象总会长的我或象总理事会，会发出禁令或打压任何棋手参加比赛。

如果会有这方面的流言，这是令人觉得遗憾和痛心的！至于，棋队领导人或棋手本身的立场或意愿，是否乐意参与比赛，我们是无权也无法左右他们的决定。而他们的言论和行径，也不能视为代表象总。

今年象总的工作重点如下：
1） 筹备7月31日晚的新理事就职典礼
2） 筹办10月20至26日之第15届亚洲象棋锦标赛

在此，我呼吁我国广大的棋友们，是不是应该屏除个人的恩怨，来支持以上的两个活动？！
