I see...That is due to too many layers, since i limit it to be 10. :).
But as what I know, to get CFA title (or membership) you need 3 years experience. If you are not in this area, why don't go to take MFE offered by both NUS and NTU as a part-time master degree for financial engineer? I feel MFE is more suitable for analysis since I feel what they tought really fit well to what I need to be an analysis.
You could take a look of the website at,
http://cfe.nus.edu.sg/curriculum.htm
By the way, I am a qauntitative analysis in a bank doing structure finance. As what I know, only few banks need people in this area in singapore. But situation is improving, since econ is recoverying... hehe...hope trading could go up as well..
Yes, i am aware of the requirement of 3-yr experience.
I just hope by passing all 3 levels of exams consecutively at least add some favour to my CVs.
Thanks for your advice. But i am not sure if MFE is my cup of tea or not. I ain't good at computing:(
Btw, really don't understand why nowadays investment analysis can go so damned "techie". Don't think Buffett would know how to use all these fancy stuff. Sigh, any finanical institution is willing to employ a Buffett's disciple...?
