芳庄旅游杯越南象棋公开赛 used 9+2 system for Top 4 and 9+1 system for next 8 and next 4 in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
After the 9-round swiss pairing system to get a ranking list.... the Top 4 would proceed with 9+2 system.
For the just concluded 2010 芳庄旅游杯越南象棋公开赛, the next 4 proceeded with 9+1 system below : --
[up and down by maximum 2 positions with : --]
...
5 vs 8
6 vs 7
...
with 5 won 8
and 6 lost to 7
the end results are : --
5 -- remain in same position
6 -- up one position from 7
7 -- down one position from 6
8 -- remain in same position
For 2009 芳庄旅游杯越南象棋公开赛, the next 8 proceeded with 9+1 system below : --
