回复“260以上不算top 3%吧”T-score不是正态分布。由T-score的平均值和每年学生的medium不同,可以看出。每年的medium分数远高于平均值200。
260基本是top 3%, 有时是261。MOE每年会奖励那些top 3%,并且进入independent schools的孩子(因为independent schools的学费较高),为他们提供$2400/year的学费。top 3%的cutoff point 在260左右。
的确不可能是正态分布(平均分为0?),每一科的分布不同
但很多网站推算出的每科分布里,母语的标准差(standard deviation)比较小,也就是说母语每高一分,对T-score的贡献就高于其他科目。

平均值高的话,对T-score影响也比较大哦,所以数学和华文好的孩子有点小优势。
