求oracle dba指点迷津
最近工作有需要用到数据库的地方，发现对这方面比较感兴趣，所以想问问坛子里的oracle dba前辈 数据库的东西可以零基础自学吗？
如果要考证参加培训的有没有推荐比较靠谱的？年纪也不小了，马上30，不知道现在学会不会有点晚了？

self-learning may miss-lead you to nowhere. You need a solid training to get the basics like database architecture.
other areas can be self-learnt. Oracle has 5 fundamental parts: architecture, PL/SQL, performance tuning, backup&recovery, OEM/etc.
But..., recent job market for Oracle DBA in Singapore is not good, I have 10+ years working experience, not find a job yet!!!

感觉都out很久了，现在大数据不都是什么teradata DB2 congos之类的么

Oracle is the most popular database AND dominate industry market up to 70% or more.
Big data is a new thing too young to make real product/profit.
Oracle has been taking the market in the past 15 years already; it keeps purchasing other companies like Sybase, Sun, Siebel, etc. Oracle has good market strategy and will keep its market in the next 10-15+ years, I feel.
