关于Athlon cpu 的问题求助：）
我现在用的是雷鸟（thunderbird)900 的cpu. 我想知道我的主板是否支持althon XP 的高频cpu 如 1.8G， 2.2.......
主板是SOCKET A的, 那althon xp 需要哪种的插槽？

我看
socket a 是可以插athlon XP的cpu 的，
可是要看看你的motherboard其他的是否适合升级，
比如可能只支持pc133的ram就不太适合fsb 266的高频cpu

you have to update your BIOS.
Go to your motherboard manufacturer website and download the latest BIOS. Read the readme to see if that BIOS allow you to support new athlon CPU. If not then its just too bad. But install the new BIOS anyway coz it will make your system more stable and faster.

can you check the model in the manufacture website
it is the official and best way,

personal opinion, it is not possible to support a CPU higher than 1.4GHz, and do not support any Athlon XP.
