老实说，对基金没什么好印象。。。
若不愿意承担股票的高风险，买Bond的确是一项长期的好投资，尤其对那些有闲钱者而言。
比如 HDB and JTC bonds.

上交易平台就能看见所有的Bonds.....
080213 = expiring date = 此 Bond 将在08年2月13日到期，到时候 Bond Issuer 将把本金+最后一期利息一起付给 Bond Holders.
利息较高的你得付高价才能买到，利息低的很接近本金。也有跟政府毫无关联的私人公司发的 Bonds， 利息可达 8% 到 10%， 不过相对的风险也高。

但是买债券的低限很高呀，买个us treasury bill，随便都是至少200k的
是买bond fund吧？要求比较低，1k就可以了。
新加坡的 Bond Market 底限高低都有，当然利息也不一样。

However, if you compare prices for 2001 (after 911) and 2011, for 100k you invested in 2001, you may get back 300k in 2011. So it all depends on your entry level (or entry year) and what is going to happen when you exit.
If you enter in 2001, STI was 1200. If you enter now, STI is 2500. In 2011 and 2016, STI should be 800 or 3500????? I don't know the answer, do you know???

and the previous one was SARS. Who knows the next one could be Bird Flu or any others!!!

牛市时买的股票别收太久，收久放不出去都是被套牢的。当股市没人问津时，也就是大熊市时买的股票，那才值得长期持有。

再回复基金的表现并没有持续性。表现持续超过市场，或表现总体超越市场的基金并不是没有。
在扣除基金收取的各种费用之后，投资者得到的平均回报率都不如指数。这句话的重点是“平均”二字。假如我买了7只基金，并不需要他们每一支都超越市场表现，其中有一只成为麦哲伦（年回报率近33%）就可以使我的组合很棒了。
基金的风险比定期存款高得多。
