the initial 5 years is the first testing period. ‘悟入棋途’ has passed the test. A few of xiangqi clubs in Singapore could not pass this first test if we check, say the past 10-year records.
From 碧山 or 碧山东(administrative area), we passed the first test with 2003 to 2006 “碧山杯”全国小学象棋团体赛. After the 2008 碧山杯全国象棋个人赛 (2004 碧山杯 碧山东选区象棋个人赛, 2006 碧山杯 新加坡中区象棋个人赛) we hope to organise for at least two more rounds in 2010 and 2012. As for 全国选区象棋团体赛, since we have failed to organise in this year, we may try again in future years for 全国象棋团体赛 with new or modified definition of boundaries (e.g. 选区, CDC, postal district) and players (e.g. with grades, non-Singapore NRIC holders) too.
