BD is not sales and therefore it is not a commissioned job :)
usually BD got relatively secured and stable salary which is resonably high enough. BD job in a start-up also means in the first year you may not be able to land many deals or even zero revenue, but still you get paid. :)
Not sure about bonus, but i think it is a good opportunity if someone is interested in BD function and the real estate market in general.
