PR要不要服兵役要看你申请PR的背景。
如果是技术移民（好像大部分都是）或者投资移民（投100还是200万新币）就不要需要。
你会拿到一张NOE（notice of exemption)千万收好。可是比护照还宝贵的东西。
以后即使申请公民也需要这个东西。
当然也不排除哪天真的开战了拉你回去做壮丁的可能性。
如果是跟着老婆，父母沾光申请PR的就跑不掉了。2年半。~~
