what's Certificate of Identity?
In the PR approval letter, there's a green form for application for certificate of identity. may i know what it is? is it necessary to apply together with PR?

就是一本绿色的护照(燕归来注：有些人提到的是“蓝色的护照”，讲的应该是同样的东西)，是除了你的re-entry pass之外证明你的新加坡PR身份的，进新加坡的时候稍微方便一点，因为不用浪费你宝贵中国护照上面的纸张，因为他们要在上面卡入境戳，不过进中国的时候如果用，就得再申请中国签证了。呵呵，所以如果回国带两个护照，丢了以后的后果就更大了。说到底可有可无用不大，25块一年不太值得，而且你该申请什么签证还是什么签证，而且难度也不会有所调整，因为到时候还是得用你的中国护照的，不过如果经常出国的话就申请吧，中国护照太薄，如果经常跑来跑去一会儿就盖满章了。而且你申请其他签证的时候需要把护照交上去一段时间，如果这段时间要出国的话就不受影响了。

那本CI并不是护照，它后面的说明里说得很清楚，CI并不代表你的国籍，它只有进出新加坡才有用，因为上面有你的entry and re-entry permit。去其他国家的时候，移民局官员还是会要求出示你的护照的。如果回中国，因为新加坡的CI并不证明你的中国国籍，所以边防检查站是不会让你进关的。
