What is amazing about Darryl Leow is his young age and how much he has improved over the past 2 years. Still, players of his standard are a dime a dozen in A division. According to legend, Hu Haiyu and Lin Zi Chong were 2 players who won all their games from start to finish in the B division (back then there were 11 rounds and more opponents). Yet within the A division, there lies even stronger players. Our GM Alvin Woo has been ranked 6th in 2 international individual competitions this year and recently in one game, he defeated Vietnam's top player Nguyen Thanh Bao by winning 3 seeds.[风云剑 (12-14 7:37, Long long ago)]

I am thinking of persuading my fellow CHIchess apprentices, obsessed friends and enthusiastic fans to join in future Division B Open Tournaments. Hopefully, we can get around 60-100 players in future games.

这些棋手还很年轻，如能和高手多接触多培养，肯定可以再提高水平。这很可能会提高新加坡年轻棋手的功力。看象棋总会这么搞了。比如说一个大师或强甲分配成个BUDDY SYSTEM。还是像类似的想法。廖的棋再B组算好了功力在甲组算普通吧。廖的优势在他的年龄和他的心态。但如得到高手的培养和训练，以后代表新家坡参加世界杯应该就是他了。这也包括林超贤和黄俊阳年轻棋手等等。
感觉现在跟以前的水平比起要差很多。最早B组升两个棋手然后就慢慢升4个。现在一年能升8或多过8个棋手。这让新加坡甲组个人赛的水平下降。希望象总可以去注意这点。[xiaobeidou (12-14 10:33, Long long ago)]

This is to reduce any risk of any mix-up like giving the good luck to the wrong person. Being a regular, it is easier to recognise your face. If you have a look-alike sibling etc, also indicate how to differentiate :-).
My mentor say if you wear a Japanese headband with the words "Sure Win" or "Victory" to your game, you win the mental game 30-80% depending on enemy preparedness. If you use my 5 earlier points, probably will be of some help.
Just remember you have more than equal chance because CHIchesss is not about how good u r normally but how good u r at that game. This is what my mentor always tell us at the start of every lesson. ;-p
Don't forget to do money donation after you are done praying. You scratch my back, I scratch your back. :-)

2) Find a dirty and dark chessboard as well as chess pieces, hoping that he wont be able to see clearly.
3) Keep chanting in front of him during the game that he wont be able to see any moves.
4) Sleep well the night before the competition, maybe you can win minghao in your dream.
5) Pray to Gods , be it Monkey god, elephant gods, horse gods, car gods, whatever your belief is, for divine help.
Anyway, just joking. =P

这些棋手还很年轻，如能和高手多接触多培...)个人赛的水平A组个人赛的水平，并不见得因为乙级人数增加而下降。A组参赛人数近来维持在30人左右，其中不乏宿将和新秀。水平有所下降，主要是因为棋手的时间精力，不足以应付日趋紧张的限时制度。反过来说，乙级人数的快速增加，加快抽空B组好手的速度，倒是可能造成B组的水平下降。象总增办二季B组赛，或许是为了增加A组的参赛人数，但新增的乙级，是否都有在A组挑战甲级的勇气，仍属未知。如何鼓励他们参赛，不明显减低A组水平而获取整体水平的提高，就要看象总在赛制和奖励方法上的创意了。
