World Cyber Games 2005 Singapore - NTU Qualifier





The World Cyber Games (WCG) is the world's first "Cyber Game Festival", designed
to build a healthy cyber culture. This year, the WCG is held in Singapore in
November. Over 500 cyber-athletes from more than 50 countries will gather at the
Suntec Conventional Centre in November for this prestigious event. MediaCorp
will be broadcasting the action live to the world daily.



NTU E-Sports Club (ESC) is proud to bring you the WCG NTU Qualifier on 4th and
5th of August at the Nanyang Auditorium Foyer where we will select our best
gamers to represent NTU at the Inter-School World Cyber Games (WCG) Qualifier on
31st of August. The winners of that competition will be seeded in the National
Finals, and be given a chance to compete internationally at the highest level in
the Grand Finals!



During the NTU Qualifier, players will compete in 4 of the most popular gaming
titles, including Counterstrike: Source, Warcraft III:TFT and Defense of the
Ancients (DotA), and Need for Speed: Underground II. Registration is FREE for
NTU ESC members (non-members subjected to $5 membership fee). Winners will walk
away with Sam Sung Mp3 players and be crowned the school champions! A spectator
area will also be set up with large plasma screens to let everyone else behold
the thrills and excitement!



Not a gaming enthusiasts? Fret not, the official sponsors Sam Sung, Creative,
AMD, DFI, Logitech, Barracuda and Microsoft XBox will be setting up booths to
offer their Mp3 players, handphones, gaming platforms, and PCs at?a discount to
our students and staffs!

Date: 4th Aug to 5th Aug

Venue: Nanyang Auditorium Foyer

Time: 10am to 7pm daily (Tournament timeslots will be allocated based on
players' timetables)

Date: 25th to 26th July

Venue: NTU E-Sports Club Recruitment Booth, North Spine (Between N3 and N4)



Date: 27th to 28th July

Venue: WCG Registration Booth, South Spine (Outside Medical Centre)



Fee: Free for NTU ESC members

($5 membership fee for non-members)



16 slots will be open for each of the game so do hurry to get a chance to take
part in this event! Slots will be given out on a first come first served basis.
So grab your teammates and come down now!



Please bring along your matriculation card and a copy of your timetable for
registration.
