Refer to Fortune 500 list (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/global500/2008/full_list/). China Mobile is only No. 148, or No. 8 in telecom industry

at&t Revenue 118.93 billion, profit 11.95 billion
Telefonica Revenue 77.25 billion, profit 12.19 billion
France Telecom Revenue 72.49 billion, profit 8.62 billion
Vodafone Revenue 71.20 billion, profit 13.37 billion

What about China mobile?
Revenue 47.06 billion, profit 8.43 billion

You can easily see the huge difference here.

I remember the toxic waste it is called non-conforming loans in China official announcement. The best things is there aren't so many CDOs, CDO^2s etc in China.
