how to invest? need advice please....

how to invest? need advice please....

If i have got around a few thousand US dollars and probably i will not be using it this one two years, what is the best way to invest? deposit in bank as fixed deposit to get interest or there is something else i can do.

Can i use US$ to buy stock in singapore? May i know how can I go about it?i mean purchase stock in singapore. Sorry...i am a bit idiot in investment...

And i also got some Chinese yuan...i have checked the exchange rate...RMB vs Sin dollar is around 5 already..shall i wait till it drop then exchange to Sng or any other ways to invest?
