Dear XXX,

I am a permanent resident of Singapore, which means that I have unrestricted rights to continue to live in Singapore, irrespective of my employment situation. When an SPR resigns, IRAS exempts him/her from tax clearance requirements as long as s/he declares that s/he intends to continue to reside in Singapore. Following IRAS guidelines, I will sign a letter of undertaking to the effect that I do not intend to leave Singapore permanently.

IRAS does not require submission of documents regarding an SPR's next employment or the employment details of his/her spouse. My right to continue to live in Singapore does not depend on me satisfying any particular requirements on continued employment. I am therefore under no obligation to supply such information or documents to you.
