I heard stories some people in BS/Citi had big chunk of 2006 bonus in options and the value evaporated quickly last year.

the worst-hit is BS... senior executives there now holds tons of options worth zero dollars...
same for citi... managers are lamenting the quickly disappearing wealth, but it's good for newly joined managers, b'coz they are awarded relatively good-value options now.
