Engineers are versatileMany commercial banks take fresh graduates into their graduate training program. They accept and indeed welcome a diverse pool of students. So if you apply for such jobs, you do not have any disadvantage as compared to finance background student. But of course, when they ask you why you choose to join banks, do not give silly reasons~~ I am from engineering background and my friends are also from engineering background, and we all work in the front office in the banks now. I also have engineering graduated friends working in other departments in the bank. hope this helps
