银行求职经验 – 写给那些对银行有着憧憬，还没有毕业的朋友开始这前，先做个自我介绍吧。我是NUS的，engineering 大四，明年就要毕业了。以前我来没有在华新上发过帖子，自己也没有这个习惯，可是这次真的是想和大家分享一下我的经验和经历。
我从这学期开始，大概八月份左右就开盘算了自己毕业以后的路。很多公司，而且是顶级公司都开始到学校里来散播着招聘信息。自己从那个时候开始就踏上了一条银行求职的路。四个月都过去了，在这四个月发生了很多是，我只是想把我的一些想法和大家分享。
1） 我还记得，那时去每个银行的讲座，LT根本就是爆满，连过道上都挤满的人。我相信去过的朋友都有同感。可见大家的热诚和激情。我分析了一下，其实我觉得很多人并不是对银行有真正的兴趣，只是看着大家去，就去。看着大家在申请，就申请，反正不花钱。其实我觉得真得没有这个必要，我觉得应该想清楚，如果没有兴趣，何必勉强自己，就算拿到了又能怎么样？作者一份自己不喜欢的工作，这不是这么自己吗？还有大家觉得银行钱多，其实并不是这样的。不同的部门，工资是不一样的。特别是，大多数银行其实要的都是bank office, 所以就不要妄想太多。有些bank office的钱少的可怜，可是你的工作量却很大。所以人� (more...)

my fyp sup received his bachelor's degree in EE from University of Michigan ten years ago. he told me that he was the only one in his batch still doing engineering, and he himself worked in Credit Suisse for a few months but quit because he didn't like the job. Even some of the phD candidates in Cornell where he received phD degree from dropped out to work in the financial industry.
he said nowadays no one wants to work in engineering because the pay is lousy. when asked what his batchmates are doing now, the reply was "many of them are working in banks".
Mind you, University of Michigan is in the United States.
