Singapore Xiangqi General Association
Singapore Xiangqi General Association, SIXGA, was set up in 1934. For more than 70 years, it has been promoting Xiangqi (chinese chess) sports relentlessly. In 1997, SIXGA has finally found itself a home in the then newly built SIGC, Singapore Intellectual Games Centre, located adjacent to Bishan Community Club. Over the years, SIXGA has also successfully organized several International Xiangqi tournaments, the most recent one being the 11th Asian Individual Xiangqi Tournament in November 2003.
