Understanding Uncertainty and Statistical Thinking

哪位学过这门课？怎么样呀？我想拿文科gek的su,各位给点建议？

有一点stats的知识，eg. CI,CLT , 再declare S/U, 这课基本上就不用再学了，考试前看看就行了,won't take you more than 1 hour (open book)。
要是不s/u的话，project做好，也应该有个不错的成绩

考试前都可以猜到题的。

因为个人很讨厌stats,还由于早上8点的lec的缘故，好像还是换了一个lecturer,好像还有3个我认为很头痛的project要做,可能还是由于第一次接触grpB gem的缘故，我最终决定drop了。

so i do not know such statistics knowledge, is the module hard for me?

i recommend you to take other modules in which you have some background knowledge. GEM lecturers never teach the basic concepts well. they always try to get around those jargons and replace them with commensensical languages, yet they often fail to get satisfactory responses from students who do not have background knowledge, especially in jargon-based modules. *grin*. you get to appreciate what the lecturers try to convey only if you know the basic concepts well. no gem lecturers would spend much time on basic concepts since those modules are called general education modules. personally speaking, i find them not useful at all coz knowledge can't be gained by only scratching the surface.
