【AgonyUncle】Legal Guardianship for International Student in SingaporeDear Uncle Chung, I have some queries regarding Legal Guardianship for International Student in Singapore. There is this 12 years old International Student in Singapore. His parents are not living in Singapore with him. He is staying with his relative. This relative is his "practical" legal guardian. However, there is not any formal document to certify the guardianship. My question is: In certain circumstance, a proof of "Guardianship" is needed for this relative to perform certain task in regards to this child. What kind of proof is considered legal in Singapore? Consent from parents? Need to be certified by lawyer or Court? Thanks a lot.
