i think thinku may collect more data base on which you may, by applying your knowledge and logical thinking, result in a win-win conclusion that not only elevates you from this circumstance but also reliefs the other one, hopefully.

However, logic is not always the right thing to follow...
Sometimes it is simply not applicable, on occasions such as this one.(At least I am not sure.)
Sometimes logic excludes humanity.
