Red Hat 9.0 and Fedora Core 4
I get some problem on installing FC4.
Current System:
WinXP Pro (Disk 1, C: Drive, other drives D:, E:, F: are all in NTFS format)
RH9.0 (Disk2, one Linux swap partition, one partition for RH9.0 in ext3 format)
Other partitions in Disk2 are FAT32 format.
I downloaded FC4 iso images from offical Fedora website. At the beginning of installation, I checked media and it passed.
The installation started by running anaconda. It probed graphics card, keyboard, and mouse successfully. It continued with some output messages flashed on screen, but later the screen became black and no messages flashed. The CD-ROM did not read the CD any more. The power for LCD and the casing was still on. I waited for more than 10mins, no response.
I googled for quite long, but haven't found any helpful information.
Can anyone suggest some reasons and solutions to this problem? I appreciate any suggestions.
Regards,
XJ
