in addition to my other posting below, few years down the road, how could I assess whether the result of this scheme is good.
I may not able to use other players as examples. May be I could try to use the following few Bishan young players :
洪福阳(2007 Bishan Internal No. 3)
陈茗芳(2007 Bishan Internal No. 7)
陈靖麟(2007 Bishan Internal No. 14)(10 years old player from Pasir Ris East) (Is he in this 少年训练班 ?)
蔡政原 (象总2007年全国乙组第11名) -- 碧山四级棋士
尹靖元 (象总2007年全国学生赛12岁组第三名) -- 碧山八级棋士
There are no problems for them to have vast skill improvements if this 训练班 is on over the next few years. I will only like to look at their (棋手的棋品修养) at that time, whether having improvements or at least maintain as of today.
just a short note, when I told a young player last night that I could only hear his voice (over the whole class) from the room, The hint to him was he is making too much noise, but nowadays, whether the young player take the hint ? whether anyone tell him previously ? I did tell him previously during the 象棋总会筹款个人赛 prize giving on 2 Sep 2007, he talked a lot during the presentation too.

Saw 几度 last night as one of the 陪练员 .....
In general, there is no problem to upgrade the skills of this group of players (少年与女棋手) in the long run.
The only concern that I have is
***** anyone is paying attention to "最近在象总的布告栏上看到棋手的棋品修养包括心理素质和道德品质两方面。" (Page 24 of 碧山民众俱乐部象棋会简讯 25).
Some of these players will represent Singapore in future if not now. Other than the technical skills, we should not forget about 棋手的棋品修养. This is also one of the problems SIXGA facing in the last few years.
