The University of Illinois Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) in Singapore seeks a research engineer for an exciting project on “A Cyber-Physical Approach to Securing Urban Transportation Systems.”
We seek candidates with interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Security of cyber-physical systems
- Control theory and systems
- Threat modeling, security and risk assessment
- Application of machine learning to cyber-physical system security
Special Knowledge/ Requirements
- Candidate must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical/ computer engineering or related fields.
- Strong mathematical foundation, in particular probability and control theory.
- Ability to perform simulations in Matlab/ Python and C++ or related platforms.
- Knowledge of analytical modelling and ability in scientific computing/simulation (e.g., MATLAB) is a strong plus.
Successful candidates will conduct inter-disciplinary research in the areas of security and control systems, with particular focus on security of positioning systems in urban transportation.
