in time control I mean. I once saw before 46 min VS 5 min. I am not aware of his game situations at those points of time but I wouldn't be surprised if many enemies are KOed indirectly because of time.

Luckily, he is banned from Division B from next year and we happily let him bring misery to his Division A enemies in June 2010. Good Luck to them all. :-)

I am thinking of persuading my fellow CHIchess apprentices, obsessed friends and enthusiastic fans to join in future Division B Open Tournaments. Hopefully, we can get around 60-100 players in future games.

your most regular praying location. This is to reduce any risk of any mix-up like giving the good luck to the wrong person. Being a regular, it is easier to recognise your face. If you have a look-alike sibling etc, also indicate how to differentiate :-).

My mentor say if you wear a Japanese headband with the words "Sure Win" or "Victory" to your game, you win the mental game 30-80% depending on enemy preparedness. If you use my 5 earlier points, probably will be of some help.

Just remember you have more than equal chance because CHIchesss is not about how good u r normally but how good u r at that game. This is what my mentor always tell us at the start of every lesson. ;-p

The older veterans don't have the great facilities and support (manpower/ knowledge base -opening/mid-game etc) that we have, but their passion keep them going. Their games have to be based on real mid-game skills because few how to play a proper opening.

The next generation (currently 5-12 years old) faced many distractions by the time they are ready for CHIchess training. My mentor says that if one day we need to be like Shanghai Team (enlist the help of veterans Hu Ronghua) in Singapore, then it is a sad day here. He say based on experience by soccer teams here and overseas, if we cannot get new blood then the sports will decline. If this continue, very late-starters in Europe will easily overtake us in the near future. At the same time, CHIchess also faced issues faced by physical sports faced in Sinagpore i.e. time, study, work, pressure etc

Possibly those in the loop have already have plans to handle these concerns. It will be assuring if they can release some info to keep those who still have passion for the sports going.

I only can see his full game records. The rest I believe also have good chance to be the Top Doggy because they are also strong players from the short glimpses of their games . How the players handle the pressure of Knock-out and time control will determine who will climb to the top.

- youngsters these days also faced greater risk of suicide and depression. This along with other modern distractions and necessities (studies, CCA etc) brings them away from meaningful activities like CHIchess
- the productive period of CHIchess players in Singapore seems to be in the range 10-25. After that most disappear from the active scene.
- those who started work or have family commitment has to worry about keeping their job...

I was taught only how to make both INTchess and CHIchess moves together early this year so I can understand the similarity and differences. After that, our training focus purely on CHIchess because it is more complex and flexible and will help a lot in INTchess later on. I should be picking up INTchess 3-5 years later after my CHIchess reach a stable decent level.

This is my 1st attempt at a full game comment in the hope that it can be useful for learning players (similar to myself) as I share some of the basics that I l have learnt so far (to boost self-confidence too!) and also to allow experienced players to point out areas that I missed out so I can improve. My mentor said if we are afraid to be criticised constructively, then we shouldn't learn the CHIchess at all. Only through exhausting use of these critical but well-meaning views can we improve in a shorter time to higher levels. Many real life stories have also shown the day we think we have learnt enough is the day we start to have reverse improvement.

My mentor has said the way we look at a game situation affects the moves we will make and ultimately the game results. This is also the hardest but most important skill to learn that differentiates between 2 similar level enemies (sort of like the hard questions that appears in our PSLE Maths papers every year).

The comments here is purely from my perspective (from a first encounter judgement followed by review of the full game) and does not reflect actual thinkings/ happenings for the game. It is done as if I am playing the game with my own limited views and will contain some critical areas of weakness which I look forward to be advised from other readers.

I learn this method through mimic of how (((xiaobeiduo))) and some other veterans post their reviews of games earlier.
