The reporting time for 1 Mar 2008, Saturday is 2pm, we will stop the players to enter the competition rooms by 2:30 pm, i.e. counted as absence for Round 1 and we will adjust the pairings of Round 1 during the opening ceremony.

(the supplier took back three trophies to redo the joints due to a rush work before chinese new year ???!!!)(2007 Bishan Internal Competition winners please approach me if having problem with the joints of Trophy.)

We are able to reduce the deficit by $2,000 excluding the cost reduction on paper for the change of venue from hall to classrooms. We also asked for less contribution from CSC, i.e. $450 instead of $800.

With the total registration fees of $570 ($10 per player), the subsidy from Bishan C.C. should be within $1,780 now ...., i.e. the estimated total expenses is $1,780 + $570 + $450 = $2,800 (the maximum limit), much less than 4th Bishan Cup for Primary School Team Event held in 2006 (actual total expenses more than $4,100) .

For 2008 Bishan Cup, the competition method is by individuals as the World Cup but the priority is given to the teams within constituency boundary. Since we are not able to get at least 10 teams for the coming event, we prefer to keep to the original closing date for registration, i.e. 30 Jan 2008. In the review meeting to be held in early Mar 2008, we will discuss whether to suggest to try again the concept of teams within constituency boundary including other team combinations as mentioned early.

I reached the school early and went to school sport hall to watch a basketball game played by Chung Cheng High School against Dunman High School.

There were 35 and 33 players for U14 and U16 respectively and they played 4 rounds this afternoon, they will continue with 3 more rounds tomorrow afternoon before a prize giving for the Top 8, the Top 25 % will join the finals on 15 & 16 Mar at Kampong Glam C.C..

29 Feb, Friday night, 10 members of the working committee worked from 9 pm to about 1030 pm to set up the venue, Classroom 2, for the 2008 Bishan Cup.

Luckily not using the hall as when we left for coffee, the hall was still having function, i.e. we could only arrange on Saturday morning if used.
