为什么mandrake有startgnome command,但是fedora没有？mandrake下面有startgnome和startkde(还有一个starticewm不知道是干麻的)

fedora下面只有startkde和startxfce4

startx只能在本机上run，好像不能在remote的状态下使用

did not try startgnome beforebut I guess they are just some scripts. you can view the content of other start* and make one startgnome yourself ba.



and for remote-wise, sometimes it cannot work due to security concerns ba.

btw, X is X, Gnome is Gnome, they are separate two things.

If you want to try remove desktop, try VNC .

很久没有用fedora了首先确定fedora是否安装有gnome,如果没有，那么也就不希奇为什么没有这个command了。
另外，那个icewm也是一个windows mannager.和xfce差不多，不过似乎又不太一样，他好像是借用别人的lib文件，他本身只是一个interface.说的可能错了。要想了解更多，自己google一下吧。

just put garnome-session in the ~/.xinitrc file
