【求助】关于master by course经新加坡好友介绍来到此论坛，呵呵
以前没想过出国，所以也没有考语言，现在想出去看看，但是不打算读博。
我目前就读于华中科技大学 计算机学院 大四，是一所211、985大学。
1.据说master by course可以不要语言成绩用电话面试代替，不知道是真是假？
2.by course 和 by research拿的学位证是不是一样？
3.by course的含金量如何（会不会像国内电大、成教之类的）？在新加坡找工作怎么样？大约能多少月薪？
4.申请的成功率怎么样？国内中介说好像把握蛮大的。

去学校官方网站看看吧申请不难，至于是否需要语言成绩就不知道了。
学位证好像是一样的，可能有细微不同。
申请费好像是20新币。不成功损失也不大。[materialist (11-5 18:13, Long long ago)]

简单回答一下根据印象，大概回答一下
1. 没有语言成绩的话，NTU/NUS会在国内有个统一的英语考试
2. 区别不大。Master by research很难申请，除非你自己愿意自费。PHD反倒容易得多。
3. 还好，在新加坡找工作相对容易。大概3000新币左右。

no problem at all!1.by course, you can get accepted for sure (200%)
2.have no idea
3.it's like professional training. So coursework is OK for job hunting. if you want to continue PHD study, better do a thesis based MS
4.no need agent, you apply, you can get accepted for sure. course MS is so easy to get accepted. Easier than you think. (I want to be an agent, it's so easy to earn money!!!)
note: if you have enough money, you can try US. A lots of US top universities send out huge amount of coursework MS admissions every year.
the most famous two are USC and Columbia university
USC engineering ranking is TOP10 in US, but it's even easier to get accepted than NTU and NUS for coursework MS...you don't even need GRE and recommendation letters. You can be accepted even you are from huaiyin college (ranked 500+ in China). you can be accepted even with GPA below 70....
It was said that in the past 5 years, no single person get rejected by USC for coursework MS....
Columbia is also easier to get in if you apply self-support MS.
of course you need to spent 60-80K us dollars for your two years' study.
UK top universities are the same..feel free to apply Cambridge and Imperial College for coursework MS. You will be surprised to receive so many Admissions....
Now the trend all over the world is you just need to pay money to get accepted by coursework MS program. They don't care 20 students in a classroom or 50 students in a classroom. no much difference for a professor but they can earn a lot of money. For coursework MS student, no advisor will be assigned. no office , no lab and no advisor...just pay money for the course offered and hunting for a job.. actually it's not bad, you can sometime get job offers from Microsoft and cisco
