seniors,i need your help!I am a sm3 newcomer in NTU,the living conditions here are very good,so i am enjoying a convenient and comfortable living here, but there is one thing that
isn't convinient,that is get on line.Though there is a computer room in my hall,i can't log on my QQ to have a chat with my friends and family,i have tried to download one,but to my disappiontment the hardware is locked from installing anything into the computer,worse still,i can't type chinese characters as there isn't any chinese software,and when i recieved an e-mail from my family or friends,it doesn't display the chinese chracters,it is so awful.
So i am planning to buy a computer of my own,but my money seems to be unsufficient,so i hope you can give me some help to pick up a real bargain.Thank you very much! [spaceangle (12-27 10:46, Long long ago)]

我们比你幸福哈。我们住在anglican high远离国大，不过可以用qq哈。不过你 的申请msn阿，这边都用msn。我 已经在把国内的阿好友往msn转了 ，叫他们也用msn。没的中文就 用英文3，学习哈哈 。

解决方法哈...我们刚到新加坡的时候用国大的电脑也是这样的，我的一点点经验，不知道能不能帮上忙
1.想看到email里面的中文： 选IE工具条中的view,然后是encodoing，然后是more，最后选 chinese simplified
2.想输入中文：到control panel里面，双击regional and languages options,在弹出的对话框里选languages,然后在install files for east asian langages打勾，然后ok，重启
3.想用qq：在一台可以装东西的电脑上，把qq装到你的优盘里。然后每次带着优盘就可以在任何没有装qq的电脑上用了[洋葱头 (12-27 17:05, Long long ago)]

现在1500左右就可以买一台相当不错的台式了。等你们上了大学就可以贷款买手提了，具体可以到ntu computer shop 看一看，在MLT 下面，很好找的。
还有，自由集市又是会有人卖电脑，你可以经常去看一看，呵呵[微笑月亮 (12-27 18:19, Long long ago)]
