I dun think soDO not risk your hardwares with the low output power supply, the hurt is very serious.
The principle is, You can spend 50 dollars more on your power supply , to SAVE 100+ dollars on repairing the damaged HDD or motherboard if the power supply is too lousy.
I have personal experience on this, so have this strong feeling[MrDJay (7-6 9:17, Long long ago)]

The principle is, You can ...)Depending on how much hardware you connect to the same power supply...Personally, I'd been using an old 230 W power supply that I brought 5/6 years back, and had upgraded the whole system (M/B, RAM, CPU, etc.) to more modern models. I had had absolutely no problem with it since I had always tried to avoid connecting additional hardware to the same power supply. For example, I had externalized one of my HDDs that were the latest model, had connected monitor directly power outlet instead of the computer's power supply, ...
Of course, I'm no longer using such old power supply nowadays, as more new hardware like CD-R/W drives, big HDDs, USB devices, etc. all are draining power aggressively from the power supply.
In conclusion, if you manage your power distribution carefully, even a 250 W power supply is fine for modern computers (unless you are "heavy" hardware installed), though you might have to externalize some of the power drainers to power outlets.[Flying (7-6 9:37, Long long ago)]

要看其本身质量如何如果是实实在在的250w电源则决无问题
我现在用的电源就是标准250w最大输出320w，带着超了频的p4 northwood, GF4Ti, 双通道内存, 若干PCI卡， 5个硬盘， 3个光驱，经常连续工作几个星期也毫无怨言[逃课专家 (7-6 11:14, Long long ago)]

I did similar thing last time, and sufferred occasional data error with my HDD (so externalized some devices). I do not believe the output of the boundled power supply with the cheap casings.
I surfferred from the damage of one mother board.

I do not bel...)that's the first thing i did when i bought casings :)those so-called 350/400W PSUs from simlim hardly boot my system
by the way, if you bought similar PSU from china, it would be much cheaper yet still trust-worthy[逃课专家 (7-6 13:28, Long long ago)]
