大家帮我看看这个IDE channel问题吧我的主板是asus p4p800，支持ata100 (ultra dma 5)的。
硬盘是seagate ST3120024A, 7200rpm, 8mb, 120G。也支持ata100。 连的secondary master
光驱是creative 52x48x48 cdrw, 连的primary master
但我在windowsxp device manager里看到的 secondary IDE channel property 显示的是 ultra dma mode 2, 好像只是ata33。有什么办法把
它调到udma 5吗？我曾试过seagate的一个软件，不起作用。
更晕的是我的 primary IDE channel property 显示的正在用的mode是PIO... 虽然我选了 "dma if possible"的选项
在bios里显示的结果是我primary和secondary都没接东西，倒是第三和第四个channel接的光驱和硬盘。[flanker711 (11-10 1:43, Long long ago)]

Some thoughts only...1) Try to connect HDD as primary master if possible. I'm not sure about the board that you are using, but I did encounter some board that behaviour strangely with other device connected to PM.
2) CD-ROM drive using PIO mode is normal.
3) I presume you are already using 80-pin IDE cable for your HDD, right? Check your jumpers?[Flying (11-10 9:23, Long long ago)]

不过我的硬盘上还有redhat8，交换了数据线会不会使它不工作了？
以前 硬盘是 /dev/hdc_
光驱是 /dev/hda_
（记不清了，好像是）
交换了位置后 硬盘应该是 /dev/hda_ 光驱应该是 /dev/hdc_

check bios setting as wellthere is one option for PIO and DMA and Auto mode, the default value is Auto. If you are using PIO for compatability reason, might cause such problems. reset it to Auto[va (11-10 14:06, Long long ago)] [ 传统版 | sForum ][登录后回复]7楼

是另外一个INF的文件夹里面的那个application.......
