can anybody tell me how to divide C: drive into 2separate hdds?

last time my laptop crashed and i sent it to CC they format my harddisks, but somehow my C drive and D drive merged, together became only one hard disk drive (C drive) now.

inif you want to reinstall your OS, you can just create divide harddisk into partitions during installation.
If you want to keep your OS, you can use some software like "Partition Magic" to do repartition, but it's not 100% safe, potentially it could crash your OS or some of the software installed.[鱽鳓 (8-22 16:29, Long long ago)] [ 传统版 | sForum ][登录后回复]2楼

i also recommend to do the partition with the HDthoroughly cleaned, without any OS!

Partition Magic is convenient but still a lot of problem! Also, the OS will become not stable after a period of usage!

If u do the partition without OS, u can boot ur laptop by using XP CD(if u r going to use XP), u can create the partitions at the same!

Same for other OS (Win98, Win2k)!!

come inyou can use Partition magic, but this may not be safe for your data.

if you haven't installed many programs, you can use it; otherwise, you may fail.

I suggest that next time if you want to reinstall your system, you had better use fdisk to do the partition before going to cc.

Not all the staffs in cc are capable, so don't believe in them too much. haha
