hi, remember the Mandrake91?

i copied the iso files CD1,2&3 onto my laptop.
wrote onto CDRs with nero.(writing iso disc)
however, i tried two out of the three installation method.
neither of them works, reboot using LAN which is the last method, guess it would be more complicated and might not work as well. so before any further action, i think/wish you would be able to help me out, like can you sense what might be the mistakes i have made...or whatever...

BTW my laptop is Toshiba Tecra9100

can you tell me why the two methods you tried failed to work?

what's the error messages and what did do before the error messages were displayed?

the error message was:

no boot file found

(CDR cant be detected or ??)

CDR and CDR + FD
same error message as above

you need to make sure you burned the image that's indeed bootable. the first ISO you downloaded is probably bootable and should eliminate this concern.


then, you need to set boot device to CDROM and boot from the CDR with the first ISO image.

how can i make sure that the disc i burned would be bootable?
