how can one say "I am watching FED rate decision to do short term trading every day"
There are only 8 FOMC meeting days a year. What happened to those 357 days?
while you may say "I trade based on chart, or company announcement, or analyst report, or market sentiment, or price behavior...."
Or you may say" I trade SP EMini futures or its ETF to try to sculp 3 or 5 ticks and scratch the price if wrong within five minutes",
Or " You buy Nvidia @ 850, try to take profit @ $870, and cut loss @ 845, but must close the position at the end of trading day no matter what",
Or You short gold @$2200, take profit @#2050, cut loss @2275, GTC.
or you can have whatever similar statement to this, all based on your own SOUND DEFINED TRADING RULES.
But FED DECISION?
NO, they can never be a good reason to enter and exit a position for a day trader, except on the FOMC day. .
