● Manage and handle tanker/ vessels’ full set of accounts for CFO and ensure that transactions are entered on timely and accurate basis.
● Ensure that the financial management and administration of CFO are in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal requirements.
● Preparation of budget, forecast, cash flow projection and Assist in the review and development of relevant budget models if required.
● Analyses monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports compared to budget/forecast.
● Constantly review the books of accounts and process and work with team to simplify process and take corrective actions where necessary.
● Liaise with external auditors in respect of year-end audit.
● Ensuring timely filing of GST, WHT and Corporate Tax.
● Maintain Vessel CAPEX using SAP module for capitalization with an understanding of contracts, budget vs actual cost and report on group committed capital expenditure.
● Reviews expenditure reports received from Third Party Managers and highlights significant variances between the budget and the actual costs.
● Prepares various regular and ad-hoc reports for Management information on Cost and expenditures, economic indices etc.
● Provide professional advice and guidance to all Personnel with respect to Cost and Financial matters.
● Other business and support work.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
. Bachelor’s degree in finance / management / accountancy / ACCA / CA /CPA equivalent
. 3 – 5 years’ work experience in oil & gas/maritime industry
. Working knowledge of cost control fundamentals and accounting standards to ensure appropriate recording of expenses and process flow maintenance in marine/shipping industry
. Preference to prior experience in SAP Projects, GL modules / Accounting software
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills as this role require active cross-functional dialogue with internal and external stake holders. Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese (both spoken and written) to liaise with the English & Chinese speaking associates.
. Good understanding of cost treatment for various project types (New Building / Bare-Boat / Insurance / Dry-Docking / Other capex projects in tanker or gas vessel)
. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
. Proficient in excel, and other business intelligence tools
. Able to work independently and as a team
. Ability to work under stress and adhere to tight deadlines
. Meticulous, inquisitive and attention to detail
