For the Support Analysts
Main Duties
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• application batch monitoring
• diagnose / troubleshoot issues
• escalate issues to Level 2 Support
• raise incident tickets & track all the incidents through bank’s standard incident and problem management tool(s)
• produce various report around batch performance and server-side resource utilization
Working Hours
This role involves working in a shift rota. Usually the shift changes every 4 weeks.
Person Requirements
Experience Required:
• 2 years' experience supporting applications
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts and practices
• C# & .NET, Java, Scripting (PERL), C++, VB Script / HTML/DHTML/CSS
Databases
• Oracle, MS SQL, SYBASE
Messaging & Tools and Operating Systems
• Windows 2000, Unix / LINUX
For the IBM Mainframe Support Analysts
Main Function
This role involves troubleshooting issues, providing workarounds, suggesting permanent fixes to outstanding issues and working closely with the development teams while acting as backup for Level 1 support.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• Ensure issues reported are closed within KPIs, including closure of issues reported through workarounds or permanent fixes
• Accurately log all relevant Incidents and Problems and produce report as agreed with the client
• Perform Capacity, Release, Change and Configuration management and BCM activities as per the requirement
• Identify and work on activities that help improve service by working with development teams while training the new joiners
• Work with global business IT & projects teams to ensure seamless support for the business
Person Requirements
Experience Required:
• 3 years and above experience supporting applications in a global environment. Candidate with more experience will be considered for Team Lead role
• Experience with ITIL concepts and practices
Skills / Aptitude Required:
• Ability to interact at all levels with strong spoken & written communication skills
• Knowledge of Trade Processing & Booking in a mainframe environment would be advantageous
