Hi, I’m Leo, a 24-year-old Chinese guy. I’m pursuing a master degree in a public university. I started to learn chess when I was 6 years old and I was elected into provincial youth chess team. As one of the top players, I’ve participated in lots of competitions and got many awards.
I have been giving chess home tuition for 5 years and I’ve taught more than 30 students, mostly teaching chess for entry levels children. I’m good at teaching children without any basics, from 5 years old to 10 years old. By providing vivid explanation to the children, I help them get started with chess and let them know some introductions, rules, and primary skills of playing chess. I love a one-to-one approach since it gives my student a better understanding of my teaching and I can offer every student customized teaching.
Playing chess can cultivate the ability of children to think independently and is greatly helpful for learning mathematics. I believe that it’s an extremely valuable investment for the parents. Most children can play tennis or swim, but not everyone can play chess. Do let kids win at the starting line!
Rates: 50 SGD per hour (inclusive of all lecture notes)
Duration: 1.5-2 hours per lesson
Teaching is bilingual, mainly by Mandarin, supplemented by English.
Teaching schedule is planned according to requirements.
