Volunteers needed for research study on iron supplements
The Nutri-Trace Lab at the Department of Chemistry & Department of Biochemistry (NUS) is beginning a new research study to look at the health effects of iron supplements
We are looking for healthy volunteers (aged 21 to 45 years old) who are not on regular iron/nutrient supplements.
Your commitment in this study:
- 2 study visits comprising 3 separate blood sample collections (2 tablespoonfuls in total)
- Standardized breakfast with iron supplement after an overnight fast
Your benefits from this study:
- Health check-up on personal iron status
- Breakfast (bread roll with water) and iron supplement (from Guardian, 30 mg)
- Free lunch
Study duration: 3 h in total (you are free to do anything after blood drawing)
